7. Take the measurement from the fabric tape measure or string and compare it to the chart below to find your hat size.
Tips for Ensuring the Right Fit
MEASUREMENT:
Determining the correct head size involves a blend of artistry and precision. You can opt for a tape measure or employ a piece of string that you'll later measure against a tape. Position the string or tape around your head, approximately 1/8" above your ear, spanning across your mid-forehead, and encircling your head entirely. Keep the tape comfortably snug, without excessive tightness. It's crucial to measure the exact spot where the hat will rest. In case your measurement falls between two sizes, it's advisable to select the larger of the two.
COMPARISON:
Trying on a hat and assessing its fit is another effective technique. If you don't currently possess a hat, consider trying on a random one the next time you visit a store that stocks hats. While hat sizes can slightly differ based on the manufacturer, they maintain a degree of universality. Should you need to convert a medium size to an actual hat measurement, consult the provided sizing chart.
